Do I need parental consent if I am under age?
UPDATE: As of November 2009, because of a decision by the Cook County Circuit Court, the Illinois Parental Notice of Abortion Act will not be enforced until further notice.
This means that, for the time being, your doctor is NOT required to notify an adult family member before you can have an abortion. Minors under age 18 who do not feel comfortable involving an adult family member in their abortion decision are allowed to have an abortion without doing so.

Can my family/friend/partner be with me the whole time?
We encourage you to bring an adult family member or friend with you for support. They will be able to be in the counseling session with you. They will be asked for a photo ID in order to enter the clinic.
Due to privacy issues and sterile conditions, only our Medical Staff can be with you during the ultra sound, lab testing, procedure and post-operative recovery time.
Will I be put under?
You will be given a local anesthetic only. We do not do twilight at our facility.
When can I eat?
You may eat as soon as you leave the clinic.
Are there protestors?
There are protestors. Some may pray quietly, yet others may yell hateful things as you are walking from your car. They cannot stop you from entering the clinic. Our parking lot is secure - your safety is very important to us.
Can my doctor tell if I've had an abortion?
Usually not.
Can I have children after this?
Yes. It is safer to have an abortion than it is to carry a pregnancy to term.
